Help for QiuDisplay for iPad and QiuDisplay for Mac.

Getting started

1. Install QiuDisplay for Mac

Download QiuDisplay for Mac (free, version 1.0.0). Open the DMG, drag QiuDisplay to Applications, and open it. QiuDisplay lives in the menu bar. The iPad app works only together with the Mac app.

2. Allow permissions on the Mac

3. Connect

4. Pair

Tap your Mac on the iPad, then click Allow on the Mac. The iPad becomes an extended display — you'll see it in System Settings → Displays. Next time it reconnects without asking. Two-finger tap on the iPad opens the QiuDisplay menu (Display Size, Quality, Frame Rate, Sound, Disconnect).

Troubleshooting

Can't find my Mac

USB doesn't connect

Black screen or no picture

Turn on QiuDisplay in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, then quit and reopen QiuDisplay on the Mac.

Touch doesn't work

Turn on QiuDisplay in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. If it is already on but touch still doesn't work, use Repair Permission in QiuDisplay on the Mac. Also check that touch is enabled in the iPad's QiuDisplay settings.

No audio

Text is too small or too large

Change Display Size from the iPad menu or the Mac menu bar. macOS needs a desktop of at least about 800 × 530 points, so the largest text sizes may stop at that limit on smaller iPads; zoom inside the app you're using if you need more (for example ⌘+ in a browser).

Send diagnostics

On the iPad, open Diagnostics and tap Copy Diagnostics, then paste it into an email to us. Diagnostics stay on your device unless you send them.

Purchases and subscriptions

All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Every plan unlocks exactly the same features — QiuDisplay Full Access.
