QiuDisplay for Mac is the free companion app that turns your iPad into an extended display. The iPad app works only together with it. It is distributed on this website rather than the Mac App Store.

Install

  1. Open QiuDisplay-1.0.0.dmg and drag QiuDisplay to the Applications folder.
  2. Open QiuDisplay from Applications. It appears in the menu bar, not in the Dock.
  3. When asked, allow Screen & System Audio Recording in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then reopen QiuDisplay. Accessibility is optional and only needed for touch control.
  4. Open QiuDisplay on your iPad, connect over Wi-Fi or USB, and click Allow on the Mac. See Getting started.

Verify the download (optional)

In Terminal, run the command below and compare the result with the SHA-256 above.

Get the iPad app

QiuDisplay for iPad requires iPadOS 15 or later — even iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 work. It will be available on the App Store soon.

Uninstall

Choose Quit from the QiuDisplay menu bar icon, then move QiuDisplay from Applications to the Trash.
